Codes of Conduct


PLAYERS OBJECTIVE

  • To accept that you are part of a squad
  • To play where asked, accepting decisions positively, being substituted or not picked to play for any particular game
  • Team work is essential, no one player is more important than another
  • To always give 100% being fair to yourself and your team mates
  • Play with a smile - it's more enjoyable
  • Remember - we can't win every game
  • Always accept the referees decision is final and must not be disputed
  • To actively discourage deliberate foul play, poor sportsmanship and the use of bad languages
  • Never retaliate or turn on an opponent or team mate
  • Before, during and after a game to respect and appreciate opponents no matter what the circumstances, e.g. shake hands even in defeat
  • To look after kit and ensure it is clean and available for use every match day. The kits are expensive so please look after them
  • Punctuality and courtesy is important. Contact managers beforehand if you are unable to attend training or matches. Turn up at the right place and correct time
  • To actively support and promote the club and it's activities


PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To help the players observe the above objects
  • Always encourage and applaud good play - by both our team and opponents
  • Never ridicule or shout at players or officials
  • Remember the appointed managers have the final say in team selections and method of play - but will always appreciate positive supports
  • Refrain from coaching the players during the course of a game
  • Assistance before and after matches is required and will be appreciated by managers, e.g. pitch marking, putting up and removing goal nets and transport to away matches
  • To look after the kit and ensure it is clean and available for use every match day. The kits are expensive so please look after them
  • Remember the players are taking part for their own enjoyment not your own ego
  • To actively support and promote the club and its activities

Hygiene and safety
 In the interest of Hygiene and safety, Brighouse Juniors respectfully asks that No Dogs are brought onto the clubs grounds, or other pitches used for club games.
Club Locations
 The Club Headquarters
Situated just outside the village of Hove Edge on the A644, about a mile and a half (1.5) from Brighouse and about three quarters of a mile from Hipperholme.
  St. Giles Road
Leave the club Headquarters and head towards Brighouse on the A644 after about 250 yards turn left onto Upper Green Lane and then take the next left onto Spout House Lane follow 1/2mile turn right, the ground will be on the left.
  St. Andrews Road
Leave the club Headquarters and head towards Brighouse on the A644 for about 1. 5miles to the first big roundabout, at the roundabout turn left onto the A643, after about 200 yards turn left into Church lane and proceed to the car park at the top
