Juniors Off To A Nail Biting Start
After having a good preseason juniors were slow to pick up the pace of league matches proving to be costly going a goal behind early on, this then sparked Brighouse into life & good goal keeping work from Matthew Denman kept juniors in the game. With Benjamin Whiteley now controlling the defence this gave a solid platform for juniors to build on & play their football. Ellis Corey working tirelessly closing down play in midfield with excellent support from Joe Porter & Liam Carey-Shaw this good work brought about juniors first goal from Owen Thomas. Brighouse then began to dominate all areas of the field & were soon in poll position & with great interchange play from defence to attack Juniors were able to push home their advantage taking a 5-3 lead into the final minutes of the game & a late goal in time added on proved to be not enough for very good & sporting Gomersal side leaving Juniors to run out worthy winners.
