Brighouse Juniors F.C. adheres to the F.A. (Football Association) Child Protection Policy

This statement is derived from the FA policy. Every child and young person who plays football should be able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved in football, including parents and spectators. The Football Association recognizes its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying. It is determined to meet its obligation to ensure that those clubs and organizations providing football opportunities for children and young people do so, to the highest possible standard of care.

The key principles underpinning this Policy are that:

  • The child’s welfare is, and must always be, the paramount consideration
  • All children and young people have a right to be protected from abuse regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual identity
  • All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately
  • All officials associated with Brighouse Juniors F.C. are required to have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check to confirm their suitability to work with children
  • The CRB check administrator is Lynn Burton
  • All individuals undertaking the Level 1 Football Coaching course complete a section on Child Protection within the course

Hygiene and safety
 In the interest of Hygiene and safety, Brighouse Juniors respectfully asks that No Dogs are brought onto the clubs grounds, or other pitches used for club games.
Club Locations
 The Club Headquarters
Situated just outside the village of Hove Edge on the A644, about a mile and a half (1.5) from Brighouse and about three quarters of a mile from Hipperholme.
  St. Giles Road
Leave the club Headquarters and head towards Brighouse on the A644 after about 250 yards turn left onto Upper Green Lane and then take the next left onto Spout House Lane follow 1/2mile turn right, the ground will be on the left.
  St. Andrews Road
Leave the club Headquarters and head towards Brighouse on the A644 for about 1. 5miles to the first big roundabout, at the roundabout turn left onto the A643, after about 200 yards turn left into Church lane and proceed to the car park at the top
